Thoughts about the retina: We rely so heavily on vision for our survival and the enjoyment of life. As an electrophysiologist, it is hard not to appreciate (and love) the retina and how all its cellular, molecular, and synaptic intricacies have co-evolved to ensure visual information is accurately represented early in the visual system.
