Jay obtained his Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thereafter he attended the Madison area technical college to specialize in electron microscopy. He also has a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Biotechnology. Jay enjoys using microscopy to address biomedical research projects.

Betty obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with majors in Genetics and Genomics and Wildlife Ecology. She would like to pursue a career in research related to genetic diseases.

Stevens Sostre, Whitney Alexandra

Whitney earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. She obtained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied structure-function relationships in the KCNH family of voltage-gated potassium channels. Serena earned a B.S in biochemistry and a minor in microbiology from the University of Washington in Seattle. She was a post-baccalaureate at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development before joining the neuroscience training program and the Hoon Lab in 2020.
