Betty obtained her Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with majors in Genetics and genomics and Wildlife Ecology. She would like to pursue a career in research related to genetic diseases.
- Favorite retinal cell: Ganglion cells. The variety of their functions and forms and the way they collect information from other retinal cells is intriguing.
- Thoughts on the retina: How to view the world in a normal vision seems common for most people, but the process is actually complicated. Due to genetic or environmental factors, some alterations may occur, leading to ocular diseases and visual errors.
- Hobbies: video and board games, crafts, playing keyboard, reading, watching anime and movies, currently learning French and Cantonese as well as traditional Chinese medicine.
